This pillow smells about 10 times stronger than my regular pine pillows (which also smell really great!). I use the “fine material” that is created when resinous pine wood is planed.
The smell is guaranteed to delight you!
Nature conservation is important to us!
The Swiss stone pine is very rare and is under strict protection in Austria.
For our Swiss stone pine pillows we only use wood waste from storm damage, forestry or furniture production.

This enables deep vegetative relaxation that has a positive effect on the entire body.
Scientific studies
Scientific studies by the Joanneum Research Society in Weizu, Austria, show that various ingredients such as limonene, various flavonoids and essential oils reduce the heart rate, which corresponds to one hour of cardiac work.

The sense of well-being that so many people experience in the high alpine huts has been scientifically researched and is attributed to the essential oil that is slowly released from the pine wood furniture and wall paneling.
A long-term study by Joanneum Research shows that pinewood reduces the heart rate and at the same time increases the body's vibration throughout the day . Anyone who has slept in a pine bed saves their heart around 3,500 heartbeats per day, which corresponds to about an hour of cardiac work. This property was exploited and beds, entire bedrooms and even guest rooms were built from pinewood. Today, our pine pillows are a practical alternative for bringing the scent and effect into your home!

pineal gland – pineal
The pineal gland (epiphysis), an important hormone gland in the epithalamus, an area of the diencephalon, is named after the shape of the pine cone . The hormone melatonin is produced by the pinealocytes in the pineal gland. Hormone production takes place mainly at night. Melatonin controls the sleep-wake cycle and other time-dependent rhythms of the body. And here we are back to restful sleep, which is so infinitely important for the recovery of body and mind.
The pineal gland corresponds to the 7th chakra , which connects us with cosmic energies. It is also often associated with the third eye.
In mythology, pine cones are often associated with two snakes winding their way up a pole on which a pine cone sits. A depiction that is also reminiscent of Kundalini, the serpent power of Indian philosophy, which sits in the spine and, when fully developed, leads to enlightenment.
The Egyptian Osiris, the Greek Dionysus, the Roman Bacchus and the Mexican god Chicomecoatl were also depicted with pine cones as symbols of enlightenment and immortality . The Romans designed the Pigna, a huge fountain in the shape of a pine cone made of bronze, and even the Pope's holy staff is decorated with a pine cone.

The pine shavings that we use as filling for our pine pillows are obtained from the Swiss pine, which grows at high altitudes in the Alps and Carpathians. There it defies wind and weather and passes on its resilient power to the extremely fragrant essential oil, which has an intense, spicy smell of forests and mountains.
Stone pines grow very slowly and only begin to bloom after 50 years. On average, stone pines live for 200 to 400 years. The oldest tree in Tyrol is a stone pine that is an impressive 750 years old.
The evergreen high mountain tree is easily recognizable by its soft tufts of needles, between which the pine cones form from early summer onwards. The wood, and also the cones, have a striking reddish color. Fully grown pine trees can grow to over 20 meters in height.
