How is Molton made?

 

The production of Molton fabric is very complex. The type of weave for Molton varies depending on the desired material weight. Light Molton fabrics up to approx. 190 g/m² are made in plain weave and the heavier ones in twill weave.

Molton is considered to be very durable because it is woven very tightly. Molton fabric is also roughened on both sides, which makes it fluffy and soft. Various finishing processes give the Molton the finishing touch.
